Summer is in full swing, the school holidays are just around the corner, and July is shaping up to be one of the busiest months of the year! From exciting local events and blockbuster movies to celebrating an incredible achievement for the shop, there's plenty happening in and around the Realm.
🏆 Gift Store of the Year!
We're absolutely thrilled to share some amazing news…
Realm Of Nerds has officially been named Gift Store of the Year in the Wales Prestige Awards 2026/2027!
Winning this award means the world to us. What started as a dream has grown into an award-winning independent business, and none of it would have been possible without our fantastic customers, friends, and supporters.
Every visit to the shop, every online order, every recommendation, every like, comment and share has helped us get to where we are today.

🌟 Supporting Local Students
One of our favourite parts of running Realm Of Nerds is being able to support our local community.
From 6th–10th July, we'll be welcoming four local students into the shop for their work experience placements.
They'll be learning all about customer service, merchandising, stock management and what it's like to work in an independent retail business.
If you're visiting us during the week, we'd really appreciate your patience and encouragement while they learn the ropes. A friendly smile or kind word can make a huge difference to someone starting their first experience in the workplace.
Who knows... they could be the next generation of nerdy entrepreneurs!
🌈 North Wales Pride – Holyhead
On 18th July, Holyhead be hosting North Wales Pride, celebrating diversity, inclusion and community.
With stalls, activities throughout the day and fantastic music and drag performances in the evening at the wonderful Ucheldre Centre, it's always an event full of positivity and celebration.
North Wales Pride welcomes people of every age and background and is a brilliant opportunity to celebrate our amazing local community.

🎉 Holyhead Festival 2026
From 23rd–26th July, Holyhead will come alive for one of the biggest weekends of the summer!
Holyhead Festival returns with four days of fantastic entertainment, including:
🎤 Harry Styled
🎶 Bootleg Bee Gees
🎵 Richie Penrose
💿 Old Skool Clubland
🤠 Luke Combs Tribute
🎸 Morgan Wallen Tribute
Alongside these fantastic tribute acts you'll also find talented local bands, family entertainment, delicious food and drink, a foam party, majorettes, wrestling, classic cars and motorbikes, plus lots more.
It's a brilliant community event and well worth adding to your summer calendar.
